In the Department of Anatomy, we are giving lectures mainly focused on the anatomical structures of the animals not only for veterinary students but also for the animal science students.

In our Department, the students can study the anatomy of farm and aquatic animals, draft animals (such as cattle, horses), pet animals (such as dogs, cats), zoo and wild animals (such as leopard, tiger, elephant, tortoises) and laboratory animals (rats, rabbits). At our University, animal science students have to study the macroscopic anatomy and embryology. The veterinary students must study the macroscopic anatomy, microscopic anatomy and embryology in the Department of Anatomy. Undergraduate students are conducting researches specializing on anatomy and histopathology in our department for graduation theses. Postgraduate students are also doing researches specializing anatomy (including radiology, meat science), and histopathology. In our Department, we are supervising undergraduate as well as postgraduate students who are doing researches focusing on food security and the improvement of livestock sector.

Welcome Messages

All students including both animal science and veterinary science students must study the anatomy of the animals to understand the anatomical structures of the animals.

The upcoming veterinarians must learn the macroscopic anatomy, histology and embryology to become the outstanding veterinarians by applying in the field.

The future animal scientists must study the macroscopic anatomy and embryology to apply in breeding of the animals. In Department of Anatomy, there are many ongoing researches for food security and development in the livestock sector including meat science, radiology and histopathology.
